The first commercial vineyard for the Williams region in Western Australia, Narrakine Wine focuses on producing premium Shiraz grapes and producing premium wineat affordable prices. A family farming business established over 40 years ago in the Williams District, the diversification from wheat, sheep and export hay has been inspired by the climatic similarities between Williams WA and South Australia’s Barossa Valley that produces much of our favourite Shiraz.

Planted in 1998, Narrakine Wines' 10 acres of vines are grown on deep, duplex, gravel loams on a north facing slope. The terroir is ideal for the production of premium shiraz and all of our wines are 100% estate grown. Handpicking each of our vintages has proved quite an undertaking with the 2006 crop yielding 28 tonnes.

There are now about 4-5 established vineyards growing different grape varieties in the Williams region.
